It all started with a tweet that formed a group direct message on Twitter which soon became an official fan group after the number of members increased.
The group's name was taken from the things associated with Pablo—Growling was inspired by his notable growl every time he says "Get in the Zone" during introductions while the second word 'Pautlong' is a combination of the words footlong (another version of hotdog) and John Paulo (his real name). It is pronounced as 'pawtlong'.
